Dear Friends,
This past Sunday marked the fifth anniversary of Pope Francis' Encyclical Laudato Si’, his call for the care of the earth and the poor. As part of the anniversary our Holy Father announced a special Year of Laudato Si’, which will run through May 24, 2021. It will be a year to reflect on the encyclical letter. Announcing the year, he invited "all persons of goodwill to adhere to it, to take care of our common home and our more fragile brothers and sisters."
As part of the efforts in the Archdiocese of Washington, the Office of Social Concerns is asking all priests and parish leaders to share a survey on practices of environmental stewardship with the people in our parishes.
Please consider taking time to complete the survey. There are twenty-three questions that will take less than ten minutes to complete. Results from the survey will help inform a pastoral initiative from Archbishop Gregory. Please note that the survey will be active until Tuesday, June 2nd.
Many thanks for your time and help.
Peace and blessings,
